Short Escape to Gir National Park

Among the oldest national park in India, Gir National Park is the only abode of Asiatic Lions around the country. The deciduous forests of the park are interspersed with lush flora and exotic fauna. The park holds various and diverse fauna species such as crocodiles, hyena, leopards and of course Asiatic lions.

This 02 Nights and 03 Days itinerary is a congenial and comprehensive tour to Gir National Park. The major destinations covered are Ahmedabad, Junagarh and mostly Gir. The major highlights of the trip are witnessing the rare and bewildering sights of Asiatic lions, observing the crocodiles, watching around 300 species of beautiful birds and experiencing an unforgettable safari trip. This tour is ideal to experience nature’s exquisiteness in the midst of soothing calmness.

DAY 01 – AAHMEDABAD – JUNAGADH – GIR NATIONAL PARK

On arrival at Ahmedabad airport/railway station, meet our representative who will be there for your welcome. Thereafter, you have two options for getting to Gir National Park i.e either you can directly drive to Gir from Ahmedabad which takes around six hours to reach or you arrive at Junagadh from Ahmedabad and then you move to the Gir Birding Lodge. In the morning, we will go for nature walks along with a guide, followed by Safari for wildlife sights, bird watching and the famous lion tracking. Later return back to the lodge in the evening and enjoy a pleasurable overnight stay.

DAY 02 – JUNGLE SAFARI AT GIR NATIONAL PARK

In the morning after breakfast, we will proceed for the Safari. Encourage yourself within the jungles of the park and track down Lions, leopards and look out for other wild animals and birds. You spend an extensive time in Safari. Later in the evening return back to the lodge for a warm dinner and to retire for the day.

DAY 03 – GIR NATIONAL PARK – JUNAGADH – AHMEDABAD

Today wake up early in the morning and enjoy Safari for viewing the wild animals that are mainly spotted during this time. Thereafter proceed to visit the crocodile farm and Devaliya after lunch. If you are directly going to Ahmedabad, then you start your journey back there. If you are taking the train, then head out for Junagadh a bit later.
