The Jain Temples of Karnataka are well known for architecture brilliance of ancient era and providing the tourists with spirituality. This 02 nights and 03 days itinerary will help in taking the travellers to a tour to the Jain Temples of Karnataka. The major destinations covered in this tour package are Sravanabelagola, Halebid, Belur, Chikmagalur, Sringeri, Humcha, and Shimoga.

The tour starts from Bangalore and then it takes the traveller to Shravanbelagola that is highly famous for its mammoth monolithic statue of Bhagwan Bahubali on a hill top. Sringeri is the site of first Matha edified by Adi Shankaracharya. This region is positioned on the banks of Tunga River. In addition, the tour also incorporates visiting Sakrebylu Elephant Camp that boasts a number of elephants that are well trained by experienced Mahouts. DAY 01 : BANGALORE – SRAVANABELAGOLA – HALEBID – BELUR – CHIKMAGALUR

On arrival at Bangalore airport/railway station, meet our tour representative who will be there for your welcome. After a warm welcome at the airport/station, he will take you to Sravanabelagola, which is famous for its huge statue of Baghavan Bahubali located right on the hill’s top. Thereafter, we will head towards Halebid and Belur, which are small yet beautiful temples acknowledged for Hoysala architecture. Afterwards, we will straight away drive to our final destination i.e. Chikmagalur. On arrival, check in at your already booked hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.

DAY 02 : CHIKMAGALUR – SRINGERI – HUMCHA – SHIMOGA

In the morning after breakfast, we will leave from Chikmagalur and visit Sringeri. It is the site of the first Math established by Adi Shankaracharya and is situated on the banks of Tunga River. Here, we will be visiting the two ancient temples, Sri Sharadamba temple and Sri Vidyashankara temple. Afterwards, we will head towards Humcha, Atishaya Kshetra, a place where divine events regularly occur. It is the dedicated to Lord Parsvanath and Devi Padmavati and counted among the popular pilgrim places in India. After Darshan, we will proceed to Shimoga. On arrival at Shimoga, check in to your pre-booked hotel and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay.

DAY 03 : SHIMOGA – SAKREBYLU ELEPHANT CAMP – BANGALORE

After breakfast in the morning, we will check out from the hotel in Shimoga and return back to Bangalore. En-route, we will stop at Sakrebylu Elephant Camp, which houses a number of trained elephants. Elephants from the nearby forests come here to take bath, have snacks and play in the Backwaters of Tunga River. The place offers an ultimate experience of watching elephants playing in water and involving in other fun activities. Enjoy delicious lunch at the camp and proceed to Bangalore. On arrival, get direct transfer to the airport/railway station to catch the flight or board train for onward destination.
