SILK ROUTE WITH NORTH SIKKIM

COVERED :  Sillery gaon,silent valley,rishi, zuluk,  entire silk route, thambi view point, lungthung, tukla valley, gnathang valley, old-baba mandir,kalapokhri lake, kupup, elephant lake gangtok, roomtek monastery, ranka monastery, flower show, ganesh takk, hanuman takk, taki view point.

DAY 01 – SILLERYGAON

Reach NJP in the morning and transfer to Eco Tourism Cottage at Silerygaon, 3½hrs drive and  after lunch session is free for photography and enjoying the beauty of Sillery.

DAY 02 – ZULUK

Start journey after breakfast from Sillery towards Zuluk, on the way visit Rishikhola, Lampokhri/Aritar lake The highest boating lake in Sikkim. Enjoy the boat ride in the lake.Also visit Dakbanglow at Aritar.  After Aritar proceed to Zuluk. Enroute covering Rongli(for inner  line permit) Lingtam, Kuekhola falls, Padamchen. Lunch at  Zuluk. Overnight stay at Zuluk.

DAY 03 – GNATHANG VALLEY

Start for Sunrise from Thambi view point. It is also the best view point for 95 turn zigzag road. This 95 turn zig zag road is unique in th eentire Himalayan range. After sunrise start from  Lungthung for the Silk Route Trail and enjoy the beauty of Laxmi  Chowk, Nathang valley, Tukla valley, Kalapokhri, Old Baba Mandir, Jeelep-La Pass and reach Kupup. Don’t miss the Elephant  lake at Kupup .See the world’s highest Golf course, The Yak golf course at 13,025 ft(Guinness book of World Records acclaimed).  See also the Ice hockey ground and the water polo pool at Kupup  and finally return to Gnathang  at lunch time. Overnight stay at  GNathang, 12700 ft.

DAY 04 -GANGTOK

After breakfast transfer to Gangtok via, Baba Mandir, Tsangoo Lake, on arrival check in hotel, after lunch visit Mg Marg and local Market.

DAY 05 -LACHEN

After breakfast transfer to Lachen  (109 KM.) (8500 ft.) Via Phodong, Mangan & Singik Chungthang, on arrival check in hotel, evening free for own activities.

DAY 06 – LACHUNG

Early morning proceed for Gurudongmar Lake (50 KM.) (17,800ft.), breakfast on the way, After visit back to Lachen and after lunch transfer to Lachung (36 KM.) (altitude 8610 ft). Lachung is situated at the confluence of the Lachen River and Lachung Rivers,  The word Lachung means “small pass”.

DAY 07 – GANGTOK

Early morning visit Yumthang-Valley (26 KM.) (Famous as Valley of variety of Rhododendron), Yumthang Valley is a grazing pasture  surrounded by the Himalayan mountains in the North Sikkim district of Sikkim, after visit back to Lachung and after lunch transfer to  Gangtok (114 KM).

DAY 08 – NJP RAILWAY STATION OR BAGDOGRA AIRPORT 

After lunch start from Gangtok for NJP Railway  station Or Bagdogra Airport.
